I signed myself up for something I don't even think I can fake my way through. Maybe I imagined my internship as one that I'd be fighting for some real challenge in. Maybe I thought it would just be a good way to stay involved in something I'm interested in. Either way, I ended up with the realization that I have to teach in front of a ton of people about something I know nothing about. Utah Foster Care Foundation is letting me (well, they asked me to) teach their foster care parents all about lying. Yes, lying. Basically exactly what I did when asked if this was something I thought I could do! I was asked to design an entire lesson plan on lying and have it be approx. two hours long. Then pick two days in July when I could teach this course to about 15-20 people. No specific criteria, no specific thoughts on what about lying people want to learn about, just the topic itself was given to me. Help! Any thoughts on how you as parents have dealt with your kids lying? Ideas on activities to engage my class in?
